Egypt Roadshow

Thanks to Dr. Islam, CEO and owner at Egifix (Cairo) for the beautiful day spent together putting the cornerstone of our long-lasting partnership.

Meeting Prof. Magdy Mobasher (founder), Mohamed Mobasher (COO) and Ramy Mobasher (Business Development) for the nice welcome at ISMC Egypt (International Sutures Manufacturing Company – MGroup Holding).

Visiting the Union Medical Company in El-Monofeya. Gratitude to Amer and Abdel-Hamid Al-Gamal (owners) for their hospitality!

Very business oriented meeting with Mr. Nader Gomaa (CEO and owner) at Vena Medical Supplies (Cairo)… a lot in common to work together!

After meeting Mr. Gomaa this week, there was an opportunity for a new talk, more informal but still oriented to business and both personal stories. It’s an honor for me… Especially when we understand that, in Egyptian culture, sharing a meal during an open and direct conversation is a sincere act of respect, empathy and trust… Something in fact noticed at the first contact. I hope that this is an important step towards a long and solid relationship. Not only between our companies, but also to us as professionals and on a personal level.

Visiting Taisier Med for Surgical Sutures (Cairo). “I was honored to be welcomed into the company by Dr. Ahmed M. Gazar (President of Taisier Health Group). A special occasion to strengthen the relationship between our companies, in favor of a relevant partnership.”

At El Dawlia in Assiut with Ibrahim Adel Khalil (owner)… a company with interesting particularities, starting with the location. In the opposite direction of most companies, which are either founded in metropolises or migrate to large urban centers, El Dawlia was established first in a smaller town in a resource-poor region in Egypt.

Assiut is the birthplace of the company’s founders’ parents. Its participation in the region goes beyond jobs creation for the population and support for hundreds of families. Even citizens not directly linked to the company are impacted by social actions developed in the city and its surroundings. The courage to establish a business in a different way leads to different paths… and this is one of the pillars of innovation.

I am grateful for the kind hospitality I received from the Khalil family in Assiut. A special chance to know even more about their beautiful culture and exuberance of the local nature. Something important to strengthen the relationship between geographically distant companies but with great affinity in terms of ideas, attitudes and values. And that helps to understand how rich and positive our diversity is.

With Dr. Essam Elsaharty (owner), his son Bahaa and Ms. Mona (Purchasing Manager) at GMS (Ghatwary Medical Supply) in Alexandria. We had a very pleasant and extensive conversation about our businesses, family governance, growth strategy and much more. It was a great pleasure to share some thoughts with Dr. Essam, who was very reminiscent of my father, the founder of Grupo Mazzaferro, passed away 10 years ago.
